“No one knows why we are meant to suffer. But we do believe in your infinite wisdom. There is always a reason and a purpose. We hope that one day you will reveal it.” Wise words from a Lifetime movie recently watched.
As I’ve mentioned recently in a blog, Eye of the Storm, how much I hate certain sayings right now. However, there are some words or phrases I hear that strike me as being spot on. At least for my situation where I’m at in my life. Everyone is different.
Camp Mann 2015
I was so happy that I actually was able to stick to the plan of me attending the event this year on August 9. 90% of all plans made around here get cancelled due to someone, mainly me, not feeling well. That day started with a live television interview done at Fox 35 News Good Day Orlando. Now I’ve been behind the scenes so much because of my job and have done my own professional videos and such that I didn’t think I would be nervous. Then I was. This was LIVE! How do you answer questions about your personal life where you almost died in a quick manner? That is a gift that I will need to figure out. Plus I like to be prepared. Sure, it’s my life that I’ve been living since January of last year but that does not mean that prep questions wouldn’t have come in handy! Regardless…the interview went well even with my mouth involved. Thankfully my husband was right there next to me to pick up the pieces. (The same husband who said ahead of time, “Don’t worry about that. They won’t ask you personal questions.” Riiiigggghhht.)
When getting ready for the event, I don’t know who I was doing it for more. To make everyone proud or for me. Arriving was surreal…surrounded by so much love, support, and friendship. There really aren’t any words to describe the warm fuzzy feeling I had inside. Similar to being in love. Human beings can be a lot of things that are not pretty and I question people’s intentions and humanity more than I ever use to. But then I’m also so much more aware of how beautiful of a thing it is when people come together and what they can accomplish. To know that my story was the inspiration for all of this is amazing.
I’d like to say ‘Thank You’ to everyone on the planning committee, all of those who volunteered, and everyone who was there to show your support. A very special thank you to the following:

Reminder: smile often, love more, forgive easier, and laugh as much as you possibly can.
